I am originally from a small town in Pennsylvania in the United States, but I have called Scotland home since 2018, when I moved here with my cat Lucy. I am proudly queer, non-binary, and neurodivergent. I use they/them pronouns.
Before training to be a counsellor, I worked in a variety of settings including childcare and support work. I have always been drawn to roles that allow me to work closely with people and value a sense of connection in my work.
In 2025 I completed my Doctorate in Psychotherapy and Counselling, where I wrote my thesis on ADHD, sourdough bread, and the fraught relationship between neurodivergence and academia. It was a weird, wonderful, challenging process that changed me and my practice profoundly.
Outside of my professional life, I love baking, reading fiction, and bouldering.
I have more than five years of experience as a counsellor in psychotherapist. Before starting my private practice, I worked in a larger practice in Edinburgh. I have also volunteered in a variety of settings, including an LGBTQ+ counselling agency, a high school, and a service for adults.
